Looking through the entry list for the next round. There's a Finnish paraplegic in a Lancer Ralliart he built himself in his own garage, a Ford Festiva, a Volvo 242, a Porsche 944, a Pontiac Vibe, a Hyunda Tiburon, about a dozen competitors over 60, a half dozen too young to drink legally, and nine drivers running their first rally ever. All in the same race as Ken Block and David Higgins.

You're spot on. I love the mix of full fledged professional drivers, semi-pros, experienced amateurs and newcomers. And it's not because you have a car that costs $250,000 or more that you can't be challenged by amateurs. I love that, everyone has its chance to win, no matter your budget (it really depends on what kind of rally though).
As for the cars, you double the number of participants, and you take a whole bunch Peugeot 106 and Saxos, a dash of Twingos, a spread of Renault Clio R3 and DS3 R3, and you sprinkle some old WRC cars or S2000 class cars, and you have the perfect recipe for a nice tarmac rally in France.

We do need more Volvos. Entries are at 62 with a cap of 70.

Oh, that's a good amount! Had 72 here this weekend, 28 of which were Volvos. No idea if there is a cap or not.
